Battery technology is one of the crucial components in solar lighting solutions, as it directly impacts the performance, lifespan, and cost structure of a solar light.
From the enterprise inception, Omniluce has conducted rigorous selection of batteries and finally determined to choose LiFePO4 battery which safely ensures an operational lifespan of over 10 years.
Many other manufacturers may opt for different technologies like Lead Acid or NiMh due to lack of knowledge or cost-saving reasons, but this will potentially result in lower product quality and a shorter lifespan.

THE BRAIN OF THE SYSTEM
The controller serves as the "brain" for the solar lighting system, functioning to regulate the battery charge and discharge, overseeing the dimming profile and programming.
In addition, our controller's electronics are fully enclosed in an aluminum case, impact resistant and thermally well managed with protections from: Overload / Overcurrent / Overtemperature / Overvoltage / Overload / Overdischarge
Keeping abreast of the times, we developed a cloud-based smart city controller, which enables real-time monitoring of our solar street lights from a distance using low frequency LORA, 4G/5G, or Zigbee technology, which enable the lights:

Smart Eye: Occupancy Sensor (Microwave)
Every Omniluce's solar LED lighting fixture comes with a motion sensor.
Microwave sensor uses the Doppler effect, similar to car radars, to detect the presence of an object or movements and measure its distance. The sensor emits a high frequency wave that bounces back off the object and analyzes its presence.
The microwaves are designed to detect only certain objects, the increase in the accuracy of detection leads to:

✅ Directivity of up to 360 degrees.
✅ Insensitive to such situations: light, color, temperature, etc.

Dark Sky Compliance
We have pioneered to develop full cut-off optics with asymmetric light distribution featuring Dark-sky compliance which is fundamental to reduce the spillover and solve the light pollution problems.
Our solar Led luminaires have been purposefully engineered for streets, roadways, and community areas without intrusive glare projected into the precincts of residential complexes.
In addtion to optics, our luminaires are equipped with PHILIPS Lumileds LED as standard and other brands optional with a superhigh luminous efficacy up to 200LM/W. Furthermore, SPD and automatic thermal de-rating functions have been deliberately configured to protect the luminaire from overheating, over-load, etc.

Our luminaires are specially designed to withstand harsh conditions over time, the housing material of our solar lighting fixtures are made of highly pure aviation level aluminium powered by special surface treatment and chemical resistant powder coating.
After making extensive research, we opted for AKZO NOBEL powder coating, offering exceptional corrotion resistance performance in the most demanding conditions, making our luminaires are ideal for coastal areas and even harsher environments.
